Vitola and Presentation

The Magnum 52 introduces a new and exclusive vitola, aptly named “Vitola Especial”, measuring 148 mm (5.8 inches) in length with a commanding 52 ring gauge. This size strikes a perfect balance—long enough for flavor evolution, yet short enough for modern smoking preferences.

Each cigar is elegantly dressed with the classic H. Upmann band, as well as a special red-and-gold secondary band denoting the “Year of the Tiger.” The cigars are housed in a striking red lacquered box of 18 cigars, symbolizing prosperity, luck, and festivity in Chinese culture.

Construction and Origin

As expected from a Habanos Edición Limitada, the H. Upmann Magnum 52 is Handmade with Long Filler (Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga) using aged Cuban tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río, Cuba.

Only the finest leaves aged for a minimum of two years are used, offering a smoother, more refined smoking experience. The cigar is impeccably constructed, with a soft colorado wrapper—silky, slightly oily, and aromatic.

Flavor Profile and Smoking Experience

The Magnum 52 delivers a medium-bodied profile with the characteristic elegance and balance of the H. Upmann brand, now with added complexity due to the aging process and the unique blend created for this vitola.
